Sella-Nevea, Lago del Predil and Laghi di Fusine. Driving time out and back from/to the house is ≈ 2 hours.
Magnificent mountain scenery. All roads are paved and easy to access. Lago del Predil, the Fusine Lakes (in Italy) and Bled Lake and Lake Bohinj (in Slovenia) are among the most beautiful in the Alps. If you don't have time, drive back via the Tarvisio-Udine autostrada (orange on the map above), and use the Tolmezzo exit.
NOTE: From Lago del Predil, you can drive up and through the Passo del Predil to Slovenia and the fabulous Triglav National Park (below-right on the map).
